One question we get a lot of emails about is wether or not to have your wedding in Dallas. While this website says that it’s going to be a directory of wedding venues in dallas, it’s going to really focus on the entire Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. There are so many cities in the surrounding area that have tons of amazing wedding venues. I would suggest that you start your search for cities that are really close to Dallas. For example, Addison, TX has some great wedding venues that are very affordable. Highland Park is also another option and it’s just north of Dallas – in fact, it’s practically in Dallas. Those are just a couple of the cities I would look into.
You also havet he option of looking a little further West in Arlington. Arlington is a city that’s growing very fast. Home to the Dallas Cowboys (yup, they should probably be called the Arlington Cowboys now) and the Texas Rangers. How cool would it be to get married at Jerry’s stadium or Nolan’s ballpark? Probably not going to happen, but there are thousands of amazing venues around those attractions. I recently went to a wedding that was in a Church that was literally 3 miles from the Cowboys stadium. You could see it from the entrance of the church.
You could go even further West into Fort Worth. Just like Dallas, Fort Worth has a lot of smaller cities around it. One popular place to get married is the church at Texas Christian University. When I was in college, rumor had it that the church on campus was booked with weddings for up to 3 years in advance because of how beautiful it was. People was say to book it for a date in the future before you were even engaged! That’s how much demand there was to get married there.
The bottom line is this, don’t restrict your wedding venue search to just Dallas. You need to look around the area because you’re sure to find something amazing and worth your time. Keep in mind that the further you get away from Dallas, the cheaper the wedding venues will be.
